Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatuLlah wa barakaatuh, dear sis.
Trust that you are good, striving and thriving this Ramadan? May Allah strengthen you and make it easy.
I have thought of the different ways to write this letter today and have now let go and submitted, I will never be able to do it justice. The only thing I can do is to attempt to give it my best, and hope that it resonates with you.
If you have been following our letters this Ramadan, in shaa Allah, one of the following may have happened. You may have some level of awareness and know that:
The quality of your deeds are important…
You do not worship Allah for a feeling
You can’t be perfect at every act of worship but you can try
You are stronger in some acts than others
Your obligatory acts of worship take priority over your non-obligatory
Mindfulness is a goal to strive when performing your acts of worship.
It does not end there though, there are a few more things that you must have become aware of:
How far you can go..
The times when you can get in extra Dhikr
The time of the day when you feel the peace to get in your personal acts of worship
The fact that you can split your Quran goal into small parts throughout the day as opposed to rushing through it at a go
That praying in congregation makes it easy to do more Rakahs in Tarawih or maybe in your case , it is the opposite
That it is easier to do your Adhkar right after Fajr than during the rest of the day..
That Dhikr or reading the Quran before Solah makes a difference.
That a 15 min nap before Dhuhr gives you the extra boost for the day, or maybe in your case, it is right after Fajr.
If you followed the course, the foundation must be set and you’re just piling on. If not, no worries, it is not too late to figure it out.
Now, I want you to take that information and STRETCH yourself in this final lap, you have moved slowly and steadily, maintained a steady rhythm with sustainable increments along the way, now it is time to STRETCH . It is time to exert yourself in worship and give it your all.
You have learnt so much about yourself in these past couple of days that you know what to do. You can stretch with no fear, you know you can.. What are you waiting for?
Go for it, Habibti. You can do this!
As you make the decision to push you will need inspiration and I wanted to share some with you.
The hope in knowing that this could be reason Jannah is written for you.
The hope that you can witness Laylatul Qadr.
The hope in tasting the sweetness of worship.
The hope that ALL your Duas will be answered..
For me, the ultimate blessing is the chance to walk hand in hand to my creator with the one I have missed so much. I can hear her voice, see her smile and picture her excitement that her twinnie is with her again.
What could possibly hold you back?
We are not home, sis, let us get to work!
On that Day you will see believing men and women with their light shining ahead of them and on their right. ˹They will be told,˺ “Today you have good news of Gardens, under which rivers flow, ˹for you˺ to stay in forever. This is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.
~ Qur'an 57:12
