Signs In Unexpected Places
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatuLlah wa barakaatuh.
Trust that you're good, striving and thriving?
It was a Saturday evening and the plumber had just finished fixing an unexpected damage in my bathroom. I was trying to do an estimate in my head of the impact on my pocket, a waste of time I must tell you because I really had no clue of what it could possibly be. I accepted defeat and waited for the plumber to say the dreaded words 'Madam,I'm done o' ,so we could begin the negotiation. Surprisingly, it turned to be a pretty tiny bill Alhamdullilahi robbil Alameen!
That is not where I am going with this piece though, stick with me, It gets better. In an attempt to reduce the impact on my pocket, I asked the plumber to be kind with his bill because 'money is hard to come by nowadays o'. His response was the just what I needed for the day. He just said 'Ah Alhaja, don't say so , there's so much to be grateful for' and then he proceeded to make a whole gratitude list on how we are alive, have no medical concerns, have shelter, electricity and the list went on. To be honest, I was a little embarrassed because his sense of gratitude was soooo Masha Allah! For context, this is someone who had come to repair a damage late at night , who barely even had electricity to charge his phone and was not even sure how long it will take him to make it back home…Yet he was filled with so mud gratitude. He came to earn *his urgent 2k* for the day ,blessed me with his wisdom and infected me with his gratitude, May Allah bless him! No surprises that he is a Muslim! He even topped it up with a verse from the Quran! I don’t remember which one though 🤔, I was too ashamed of my ingratitude.
He truly was my sign in an unexpected place.
The incident reminded me of how Allah in His generosity and mercy ,always gives us ways to remember that we have sooo much to be grateful for. He is with us and He never leaves us. He is there never moving, sending us reminders in unexpected places and through the people we least expect. Truly the most merciful, I tell you! Allahu Akbar
This incident reminded me of the many good things I have experienced this past week and I just thought, Ya Allah thank you for not letting me go...Because if you leave me to myself ,I don't know where ,who or even what I will be.
Mini- Activity: Do a quick scan of this past week and see if you can recognize the signs Allah has beautifully placed there for you. Trust me, they are there!

Reflection of The Week
Isn't is interesting that a few drops of blood can tell us so much about what is going on inside of our bodies? Labs can obtain an extensive list of information from just a tiny bit of blood.
🔬Prior to the development of microscopes, one could probably never imagine that so much information is contained in a drop of opaque red liquid. Would it even be conceivable that one could read a lab report that reveals so much information about us?
Seeing a lab report recently made me reflect on the Ayat about how our hands, skin, tongue, feet, and ears will testify about what we used to do. But how? Only Allah knows. Just because we can't conceive it, doesn't mean the information is not there……A Siddiqui
Till Next Week, Insha Allah
We leave you in Allah’s care,
