Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatuLlah wa barakaatuh.
Trust that you're good, striving and thriving.
Alhamdullilahi for the gift of companionship
Alhamdullilahi for those who remind us of Allah
Alhamdullilahi for those who love us and show it.
Someone left AGAIN and this one hurt because the special one had made such a positive impact in a short time and had become a true companion.
I moped just like the human I am and toyed with different ideas, some as ridiculous as hiding in her suitcase🥲🥲🥲. Even though I knew I would miss her I also began to reflect on how to make this long-distance thing work.🤔🤔🤔 Could this be the jolt our friendship needs to make it more beneficial? Will our time be spent better now that we had to battle time zones?
These thoughts have led to the notes I have made for myself and the one I love..
Notes For The One Who Remains
I should remember that we will never spend a lifetime with the ones we love in Dunya, sometimes we could have just a year, a month, a week or as little as a day. This is why we must give it our best and strive to make it one that can exist in the Akhirah.
I should leave a lasting impression, one that Allah will be pleased with..
Give gifts..
Be kind and fair..
Be a support and inspire to that which Allah loves..
Tell her how much she means to me!
Make Dua and mention her name alongside mine to Ar Rahman..
Then, I must be grateful for the opportunity to come across a soul, that I may have met somewhere before, in a different realm...We met there and now, we are here.. What an honor! Alhamdullilahi!
Be a reminder...
Then there's the most important part,
Thinking bigger If this relationship is trying so hard to survive the test of the Dunya, maybe it is time to fight harder for a spot in Al Jannah Firdaus?
Notes For The Traveler
Like my mother will say, always remember who you are. Initial bumps on the road , do not take away or define who you are….
Like one of my teachers will say, every time we go to a new place we must ask ourselves what are my roles? To me? My family and then community?
Then you must hold tight onto the rope that leads you to Allah for He is the one that will always be there…
Remember that it's okay to be a stranger (I wrote about that here) and that in non-conforming you're on a great path..
Maybe this is your Da’wah ticket for simply being one who strives to please Allah? Who knows?
May Allah bless us to be companions here and in Al Jannah Firdaus.
Life knocks you down? Perfect! You're in the best position to knock on the doors of God. When you already feel completely crushed to the ground, helpless and unable to get back up, you're in the best position for sujood. Enter prayer, prostrate to Him, whisper fervently to Him the needs of your heart -Maryam Amir
It is painful to even write about the situation of our brothers and sisters in Libya. Hard to even think about! Please keep them in your Duas, donate, support them and encourage others to do so too. We can help, please let us do so. May Allah grant those who have passed Al Jannah Firdaus and grant ease to those left behind. May He restore that which is lost with that which is better and provide comfort to them ,Ameen. Please click the button below to for Launch Good’s verified campaigns.
I shared this in the last newsletter but I am sharing it again here because Subhannallah! It was the jolt, comfort and understanding I needed all wrapped in one. See ehn? The perspective that these teachers shared got to my heart and their experiences with understanding the wisdom behind trials faced was BEAU-TI-FUL! You need to check it out!
Till Next Week, Insha Allah
We leave you in Allah’s care,

SubhanaLLah, this is deep!!!
Although, this reflection speaks to a worldly (dunya) emotion of missing a loved one (dead or alive). Emphasis on worldly because y'all know we not going to be experiencing any sadness in Jannat-ul-Firdaws bi ithnillah. May Allah count us amongst those who will reside in it. Ameen ya rabbal A'lamin. I love how it circles back to the remembrance of Allah and pleasing HIM Aza'wajala. After all, that is our purpose in this world.
Say! Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allāh, Lord of the worlds - Q6:vs 162.
Top points on this one Ibadahplug. May Allah continue to increase the team in beneficial knowledge, Ameen. Allahuma Barik..
