Asalam Alaekum Waramatullahi Wabarakatu,

Trust you are well, striving and thriving, In shaa Allah. This is short story about an incident that touched me deeply.

The orphan was there, having the time of her life. It was her brother's party, and everything was so much fun—balloons, ice cream, candy floss, cake, face painting. What else could you ask for? Plus, she was the assistant celebrant. It doesn’t get better than that!

All seemed perfect until she joined in a game, and they asked her to go get her mum. She paused for a moment, and the rest of us held our breath. There was an awkward silence; no one was going to tell the MC that her mother was no longer with us. We waited, unsure of what would happen.

The little girl calmly walked over to her maternal grandmother with a confident smile and said, "This is my mum." And at that moment, I knew that Allah always fills those gaps and heals those wounds when we need it most. He hears. He sees. He knows. He provides.
