Alhamdullilahi ! We made it through the halfway mark of Dhul Hijjah!!!! Stop and say Alhamdullilahi, my friend. It is a BIG DEAL!!! Allah chose you to witness 5 days from the best 10 days of the year! Insha Allah He will bless you to witness the full thing. It is more than enough to be grateful for.
How is it going on your end??? I pray it is going smoothly. Whatever the case, you still have five days to go, it is too early to give up, you can still make it. Dust yourself up, set your intentions, and have full trust in Allah that He will aid you in fulfilling your intentions. I had initially planned to send you an email about my experience these past days but I received an email on Monday, that trumps that by far!
Do you remember Iqbal Nassim? The one who gave it his bestselling course for free last year? Surely you remember my star-stuck-could this be happening post ? Anyway, he has done it again ooo! (Now, that sounded like an advert for a Nollywood movie) but seriously though, I received an email from him on Monday saying that he was giving away ALL his courses for free and I was like.. Wait..Whaaaattttt???
I am not going to lie, I was in awe! If you have attended any of his courses you will understand the brilliance, wisdom, SENSE, and sheer goodness that they are all packed with. They are really good, all his work is, Masha Allah. But it was not just that, it was the fact that he is willing to give out his primary source of income for free at a time that happens to be one of the lowest points in his life and when the world is battling with inflation. Subhnallah, I read the email and I was just in awe. What level of Tawakkul makes you give out your intellectual property, years of hard work, and primary source of income away for free? What kind of Yaqeen are you running on? The last time he did this I was scrambling and trying to share with everyone, this time, I am just in awe, thinking of all the support and Duas he deserves. I cannot help but think about how this is such a beautiful sacrifice in these blessed days when we are encouraged to sacrifice for Allah’s sake.
I pray that Allah accepts this from him, blesses him with Rizq, and lets this act weigh heavy on his scale of good deeds. May he have no regrets whatsoever, and may this deed open the doors of Barakah for him always. Ameen!
In these blessed 10 days, where we learn about ‘sacrifice’ from the life of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). I want you to reflect deeply on what you will give up for Allah’s sake. You have 5 days to go, what is going to be? Will you be leaving something behind or picking up something new? Will you be the bigger person and let things go even when you were right? Will you make the first move and call that long-lost relative? Will you spend an extra 10 minutes after Solah to do Dhikr? Will you give more in charity even if you feel the pinch? Will you sacrifice your sleep for Tahajjud? Will you fast for His Sake? What will you do?
With these 5 days left, the BLESSED day of Arafah coming uuuuppppp, I wanted to share this playlist on what to do! Please we need to be extra prepared, no stories!
