How are you using your access to Allah?

This simple question that Ustadha Jinan Yousef asked in class on Saturday has got me thinking! We reflected on another one of Allah’s beautiful names and this question came up. Definitely not one of those that you will just brush off for sure, it requires deep reflection, raw honesty and soul searching. What I find most interesting is that it forces you to take yourself into account. Think about it, you have free, unlimited, premium, 24 hours access to Allah every single day; How have you chosen to use it? Have you restricted the access to just 5 times a day? Have you restricted the access to 5 rushed meetings a day? Are you maximizing that time to the fullest? Sooo many questions to ask.

It didn’t end there, we also went into how we will account for our time. Your girl’s mind quickly went to mindless scrolling, immediately! Of all the things, I worry about when it comes to accounting for my time on earth, social media tops that list without a doubt, May Allah save us.
